Happy Thanksgiving!!!
The kids and I got to enjoy spending Thanksgiving weekend with my parents. I told the kids we were on Holiday and we actually stayed with Mimi and Papa for the whole weekend. Doug on the other hand was busy at work adding a playroom to our home! It is almost finished and it has already been such a hit with the kids and mommy...No toys in the grown up spaces was mommy's BIG Christmas gift this year. Also, this became the month of projects...Anna Claire has a big girl room (thanks to daddy for painting and putting chair railing in her room)...
Here is a little tid bit of what is going on in each child's life:
McCade: our little leader and social butterfly in class. He is truly enjoying school and learning so much. McCade is intrigued with adding (the Math concept)...give him a problem (up to ten) and he will solve it for you. He is also able to do story problems too!
Anna Claire: Always the sweet spirit! She is Daddy's, mommy's and anyone who will let her be a helper. She loves to be in the kitchen cooking and cleaning. Her ABC's are coming along. She will ask you not to sing with her...she wants to do everything by herself! Anna Claire is our little diva! She loves make-up (the real stuff just won't due)...I often find it not only on her face, but other places such as on the carpet, walls...etc. I often have to hide my purse (my lipstick will stay on anything for days)...
Addie Grace: She is on the move, trying to do anything and everything big brother and sister will do. It must be the baby of the family, but she has taught McCade and Anna Claire how to throw tantrums...we are curtailing this trick as fast as we can. Addie is such a little doll (literally)...she loves to sing and dance. Elmo is her favorite character. She is early to rise, but is always so eager to go down at night. Addie is an easy baby...she loves her time with Gigi and Pappy. They watch her while I am teaching.
We are so proud of all our little angels...they each have their own unique gifts that God has given them. Our prayer as parents (and we hope this becomes a MOVEMENT with other Christian Parents) is that we raise our children to be BOLD and COURAGEOUS IN CHRIST...What does this mean? It means that we build a strong foundation that each of our children know what it means to walk with God each and every day. THAT OUR CHILDREN DEVELOP A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST. That they look to the bible as their resource for living and understand the TRUTH that it holds. That our children stand up for what is right and do not shy away because it is uncool or that they just do not understand what is going on. We hope that as parents we will remember that our children our a GIFT from GOD and it is are responsibility to train and discipline them...
