Did you KNOW??? Insight from McCade's little?BIG world...

McCade has been reflecting alot these days and has come up with some pretty funny comments. I just want to forwarn those that these reflections are not all clean:)...

And here we begin:

My poop looks so much like a snake. And it is scary! (As you can tell, McCade is offically using the big boy potty when he wants to:)...After this comment I am hoping that he will continue to use the big boy potty.

Mommy your belly button is poking out. Are you having another baby? (Mommy is really feeling the pressure to loose some weight here:)...And by the way for those of you that are wondering. Doug and I are officially done with having children...so there will be no surprise news for you guys EVER!!!

And here is my favorite. I am going to apologize in advance for writing this, but it really is hillarious. Please do not read if you get embarrased easily. On a daily basis, sometimes hourly...my penis is getting bigger. Its growing like daddy's. Is that so funny or what???

What a trip the last few weeks have been! We have been super busy making lasting memories and starting new traditions. This past weekend we headed to see Doug's side of the family in East Texas. We spent Saturday with Granddad and Grandmama, along with Doug's two brothers and my sister-in-laws and all of the grandkids. The children just loved getting to be with everyone.

You know you are a good friend of McCade's when he calls everyone your name (Kaden)...I kept having to tell him to use the correct name for his cousins:). Everyone else wanted to hear who this Kaden guy was:).

Our Christmas Eve was wonderful. We headed to service and then over to my Uncle Ty's and Aunt Rebecca's. Dinner was fabulous! After we brought the children home and got them to bed. The Claus' were fast and furiously busy working out all the details for the following morning.

Christmas Day was so much fun with little ones. The children awoke around 9:30am and got busy working on all of their gifts. Santa was so good this year. My parents and brother were here to celebrate and play with the kids.

We ended the day at my Aunt Brenda's and Uncle Chips house. All of my family was there. It was just so wonderful to be around family!!!

Stinkin Cute Feet!!! A Non Crafters version...

For all of you that know me well...you know that I am craft illiterate! I love to see all of the wonderful things that you guys make, but when I try to come up with the same product, it looks just like a preschooler had created it:)...Actually, there are many preschoolers who create better work of art than I.

So, this year I asked mom what she wanted for Christmas and her reply was a plate with the children's feet on it...of course when I show you guys what the picture that I was trying to copy looked like you will not be amazed at how precious my work is...so I will let you just imagine.

So, here are some pics of the plates that I am giving to all my moms (my mother, mother-in-law, and other mother-in-law...).

Mom...when you read this, just remember that the plate was made for love by not only your little three angels, but also one big angel. Sorry it is not quite like the one you wanted, but it is made especially for you by me:)!!! I just have to let you all know that I am laughing here as I type this. It takes me back to the day, I made a cup for my mother and it was the ugliest creation that any kid could come up with...I now have tears coming down my face thinking back to this moment. I was so embarressed to give it to her, but it was some mother's day gift. As you can tell I am a great canditate for regifting awesome craft items or having to buy them...

A Weekend of Fun...and its only Saturday!

This has been such an exciting weekend...we started it off with MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers).

Then Friday evening, we pulled out the traditions that have been started since McCade was born. We headed over to Barton Creek Mall to see Santa. McCade informed Santa that he wanted a train and skateboard. Anna Claire on the other hand decided that Santa was terrifying. I think he might have put her on the bad list:)...and Addie just wanted to know what all the commotion was all about. After our picture, McCade and Anna Claire road the Polar Express (as McCade told us). It was great fun to see the kids enjoying themselves.

Doug, Mimi, Papa, Uncle Nathan, and myself headed to our adult playground (Chuys)...and then off to Zilker Park to see the Trail of Lights and spin under the tree. It is so cute to see the amazement in the kids eyes. Also, Addie deserves a big thank you from her mommy for sleeping through appetizers, drinks, and the Trail of Lights!!!

Today...(Saturday) we have gotten to hang with our wonderful family! My two cousins (Lauren and Emilie) are in...which are always great times, plus we have a new family member (Welcome Russ). Russ and Lauren were married in August and are here celebrating their first Christmas in Georgetown. How lucky are we!

Have the Wonder Pets been to the Brown's House

I am finding celery all over the house. I could have swore that I implemented an eat at the table only rule! I wonder if I am the only one following it???

Addie is Dedicated

Today we celebrated with our family and church friends the dedication of Addie Grace! My grandfather did the ceremony which was extremely special to me (he dedicated me along with my brothers). Both Addie and Anna Claire wore the dress that I had worn at my dedication.

We then all headed to Duke's to eat...It was a great treat to have Mimi, Papa, Grammie, Pappy and Gee Gee, Memom, Uncle Nathan, Auntie Melissa, Uncle Chip, Aunt Brenda, Hillary, Clark, Apolinar, Millie, Daniel, and Rebekah here to celebrate with us!

The kids and I crashed hard after lunch. It has been an eventful weekend:)...

Anna Claire and her first sentence.

Anna Claire has graced us with her first sentence yesterday (Dec. 12th).

Drum Roll please....

"I want something else to eat," said Anna Claire pointing to the refridgerator and looking up at her Grammie.

Its Official....Macade is 3! Happy Birthday...

Today we celebrated McCade's 3rd birthday along with 21 of his closest friends! His Mimi and Aunt B made his awesome dinosaur cake. I am told this is the last time his Mimi will participate in this kind of activity...thanks to Aunt B for rescuing her. It was absolutely darling and of course delicious.

Mommy Brown brought out her teaching side and lead 21 little angels (ages 1-5) through a few dinosaur activities (decorating their goody bag, Dino Toss, A great Dino Hunt, and Tape the tail on the Dinosaur). It was great fun and of course utter chaos.

McCade ended his party by telling those still remaining that the party was over and it was time for him to watch TV:)...

I just want to thank all of those that attended! This is such a busy time of year and it means so much to both Doug and I that you would take the time to stop by to celebrate the life of our first child!!!

The Letter A and Decorations???

I decided that this week would be a great week to start a curriculum with McCade and Anna Claire. We all need a little structure to our day...so I thought. I practiced with my students (McCade and Anna Claire) some fun and intersting preschool activities revolving around the letter A. I thought we had some progress:)...then today as we are driving home from Gracy Titles Christmas party, McCade is telling us all to look at the decorations. Decorations!!! I ask where he learned that word from...his response was me do. Then I asked again (who taught you that word), he replied that daddy did. I just laughed at the thought of me trying to teach Anna Claire and McCade some of the simplest things and here there daddy says some huge word and they eat it up like its ice cream. The Letter B lesson has to be awesome!!! I have a little pressure at my heels:)...

What the heck??? I missed the weather report about snow and a tornado coming to town!!!

We have been couped up for almost 2 weeks and the kids have turned our house into their path of destruction! It has been a tough and trying day today. I really feel that Satan is attacking my parenting skills. McCade has been the tester...and Anna Claire has been his assistant. The kids have torn apart the upstairs (fyi, little decoration sticks are not the best to have sitting in a vase just asking to be spread across mommy and daddy's bedroom)...and have sprinkled my Christmas Village snow all over the floor. If you are reading this and laughing...then you most likely have already learned that pretend snow and children under 3 don't mix. If you are laughing at this, but have never tried pretend snow with kids under 3...it should be a great experiment.BTW, please make sure you take your blood pressure after you walk in and find their little hands full of snow and those playful eyes looking at your bulging vein popping out asking if you are okay???

Mommy's Pretty Tree

Today we decorated Mommy's pretty tree(the formal living room tree). I actually braved a two and one year old hanging glass ornaments. Only a few were broken:)...Today I have had to watch the kids like a hawk around that tree. Every time I turn my back they are over there bugging those limbs. Unfortunately, the two ginger bread men that they had made at MOPS last year have lost a head and some limbs. I keep telling them that it is not going to be good...and finally I have tried to throw the two men away, but they keep somehow escaping the trash. Now, the kids are on to the other ornaments. This is going to be a long police (ornament) season!!!

Okay...so I am addicted!

This blogging thing is way too much fun...I am going to have to get with my friend Cheri Thompson to get the scoop on how to make this even better. If you check out her blog, you will be amazed at all of the things that you can do. I'll add her site as soon as I get it figured out.

Doug is over here laughing at me...he thinks its so cute. I also think he is relieved that I have a new hobby that does not require me bidding (I love to ebay surf for bows).

Addie Grace

Here are a few pictures of our newest addition. Miss Addie Grace has just been a blessing from the start. She looks so much like McCade and already has some of his sleeping and holding habits...we may be in trouble:)!!!

Both McCade and Anna Claire have adjusted so well. McCade is constantly wanting to hold his new lil sis, while Anna Claire is mothering her. Anna Claire is such a super lil mommy! She makes sure that Addie has a bottle and pacifier when crying. Both the older siblings are not too keen to let their little sis cry much these days.

Thanks to Hillary

BTW, Hillary (my cousin) took our pictures today and she was amazing. She is so talented! Thanks Hills for taking the time to come out and help...

The Latest Pics of the Alderman/Brown Crew

Today we headed to Southwestern University to get our pictures taken for Christmas cards...the kids did not last long, but here are a few favorites.

After taking pictures we headed over to Aunt B's and Uncle Chips to enjoy the wonderful company of our family and eat some delicious food!
