Thomas Train Photos...

Yes, these were from October. Catching up on some blogging pictures...

Pictures from this Fall...

Snow Day

We have been busy playing in the snow today!!! It actually has been snowing alomost non-stop for the entire day...we are going on at least 4 inches. That is a lot for Texas:)...

Daddy took a half day and we have enjoyed playing with him...

Sarah's finish with the 3M Half Marathon

I have been busy here training for a few races. Here is a picture of me completing the 3M. My goal was to finish it running the entire race (13.1 miles). Ran it in a little less than 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Marathon...

Both Doug and I completed our goal of running a Marathon on February 14th!!! It was very romantic...okay not really, but it was very exciting for both of us. The motto for us this Valentine's was "Love Hurts."

I have never been more proud of Doug! He literally did not train. I have been training since this summer, but actually really got into my training this January. Sarah, my best friend since Kinder...helped prepare me for the big race!!! Thank you so much Sarah for all of your help.

The race went something like this...tough hills for the first 13 miles. Doug enjoyed running back and forth between all of the food stations as he called them. It was neighbors handing out goodies and cheering racers on...I kept telling him that all that food was going to give him a cramp. It was pretty humourous seeing him eat, eat, and eat some more. Then the big split came...those that were finishing the half marathon and those that were going the distance!!! Go Browns Go...

We veered off to continue another 13.1 miles...went strong until about mile 20.5. I began to cramp. We walked for about half a mile and then began the run again...from about 22-25 (off and on running and walking)...then we finished strong. Our time was five hours and 57 minutes.

Its January...can we breath yet???

Not yet...SARAH TURNED 30!!!

IT WAS PARTY TIME...Mom and Dad hosted a dinner with my friends (this was an adult only party)...lots of fun to be had. Thanks to all my dear friends who made it. I know this is such a tough time to be continually on the go...I truly am thankful for the celebration!!!

On another note...Sarah is officially registered and ready to run the half marathon at the end of this month! I have been training since the summer and am ready to go...I am also hoping if this run goes well to the the full marathon in Feb.

December, December, December...where did you go?

The 30 days of Christmas felt more like 12...here is what we spent our time engaged in...

Bethlehem Village-our church puts this reenactment of Jesus birth and the Village that he was born in. It is an amazing site to see. My mom helps organinze the entire Village. Way to go! Anna Claire and I worked in the Bakery this year...it was so much fun.

We had Doug's dad, step-mom, and mom in over the first two weekends of December. It was great to catch up with them...

McCade turned 4 on December 13!!! We celebrated with a arr---Pirate Party. He even had a real Pirate come and lead the treasure hunt (aka...Doug). The party consisited of Designing treaure bags and a pirate hat, going on a treasure hunt, and ending with a Pirate pinata...

The third weekend we headed to Austin for our annual Christams Tree and Trail of Lights event...we stayed two nights at the Embassy...took in the Austin Scene. It was so much fun! Doug got to go and see Aledo (his brother and family were down for State Championship) win State...Sarah got to finally eat at Moonshine (this is mom and dad's favorite place to take clients)...

We had a few parties (5 to be exact)...lots of great food! Christmas Eve service and then Christmas Day activities... And also was able to get up to date with kiddo shots and flu shots...like I said it was a crazy busy month!

Christmas:

McCade wanted a knights costume from Santa...he also got about 8 other super heroes to dress up in...along with a ton of dvds (Dr. Suess and lots of Veggie tales...this is what McCade does for quite time)...

Anna Claire wanted a bike and a flat drive way from Santa...yes that really does say flat drive way:0...she did get the bike, but Santa did not have time to come and work on this drive way...she also recieved a vanity and lots of jewlery to go with it. Uncle Nat and J got her a cell phone and camera (pretend of course)...but she has really enjoyed taking pictures and talking to everyone who will listen...her new favorite words (SAY CHEESE)...

Addie Grace got her own little tricycle...she would not get off of it while opening presents...she knows the drill. The moment she got off, there was someone toting along on it...she let us all know that it was unacceptable to be on her new toy!!! Addie also got a new kitchen and lots of fun food toys to go with it...she has also been sporting all her babies around. She loves to kiss and hug on her babies.

OUR VISIT WITH SANTA: Last year, Anna Claire did not want to have anything to do with Santa...this year she stayed a few inches away and softly let Santa know what she wanted...McCade sat right up there like he was a big boy...Addie on the other hand decided she did not want to have anything to do with this man!!! So, our picture this year had the four of us in it...McCade, Anna Claire, Addie Grace, and Mommy...
