The Blame Game...
You know you have hit the toddler stage when each child is blaming the other one for any and everything. Anna Claire woke up on Wednesday and was walking down the stairs. She noticed that some paint had chipped away on the wall and pointed to it...bubba did it, she exclaimed!

In the Garden of Adam and Eve (aka...McCade and Anna Claire)
We or should I say I am in the process of potty training McCade...really I am letting him potty train himself. He is doing a great job. The other day, I found him and Anna Claire enjoying themself out in our backyard. It was too hilarious not to capture with the camera. Yes, both of them are naked and truly enjoying themselves.
I have to admit I think it is so wonderful to be able to run around naked and carefree. If only we could go back to those days:)...it would take no time to get dress.
I do have to admit that our friendly neighbor Camille was wondering probably wondering why the kids were without clothes. I am totally surprised that she did not tell her parents. I thought I might be in big trouble on Friday when I saw her mother:)!!!

An easy game for your little ones...
I have started a game with Anna Claire that she loves! No toys or equiptment of any sorts:)!!! I whisper a word of encouragement or praise (You are so sweet, beautiful, the most precious angle in the world...) and then I blow in her ear two times. She thinks it is so funny and always laughs and then says more.
Give it a try with your little one and see their wonderful expressions!

Birthday Bliss
Thanks to all who made my birthday special this year. I have never been too big into birthday celebrations (mainly because I am so exhausted after Christmas/New Years)...but it hit me that this is the last year to be in my 20's and I am going to live it up.
Doug and I hit our favorite date night activity (queso and margaritas:)!!!...but we changed locations and stayed in Georgetown (El Patron). It was tasty.
Then Saturday (the actual day)...mom and I headed to get beautified. Toes, nails and eyebrows were on the agenda!!! Most of you may not recognize me...my eyebrows finally have been trimmed:)...
Thanks to all of the well wishes and special gifts (Becky...I can't wait to wear your creation)!

To all of the mommies...and those to beand the have beens:)!!!

Okay,
This is a letter to all of the mommies...I am reflecting on my 29th year of life and realizing how fast it flies. I just looked over to see a picture of Anna Claire at the age of 3 months(Addie is right here and right now this age)...and realize how fast time flies. I will try and hold myself together...
but is goes by so quickly. The excitement of them coming into this world, their first smile/babble, the first time they say mommy...and of course daddy, then it is off to doing things themselves. Will they need me is usually the response??? I dread the day they come home with a ring in their hand or on their finger:)...could the sleepless nights and in our bed be all that bad? We love each one of you and could not imagine our lives without you...McCade (the bright/intellectual one), Anna Claire( missionary(Mommy is coming with you) and or model:)...you are so beautiful), Addie Grace (mommy's baby...and thinker...it will be amazing to see you grow!!!)
I hope (mothers and mothers to be) that you will cherish your time with your little being...it is such a GOD thing that we were chosen for each child that we were blessed with!
Happy New Year
Happy New Year! We wish that you and your loved ones had a great time celebrating an end to 2008. May 2009 bring each of you closer to our Creator, our Saviour, and him who is MOST HIGH!!!
Doug and I spent the evening...with a tradition that began about 3 years ago. We put the kids to bed early (around 7)...and then have some great food/drinks (appetizers and champagne) and watch movies. This year we watched PS: I Love You and Traitor. I would highly recommend both:)...especially PS I Love You. Make sure you have some tissue on hand:)!!!
Blessings to each one of you! We pray for exceptional health this year and finacial relief for those in need...Also, we hope that this year will be a beginning of America standing up for the values that our country was founded on!!!
